Crossdressing

Contributed by Sylvia

For this website we're looking at where the dividing line is crossed and the relevance of how a fetish or love of panties and ladies underwear in particular should lead to men crossdressing completely.  The question often asked is why or how anyone would get into dressing in women's clothes.  I'm not sure there is any one answer to that, some start and get into it by having a panty or underwear fetish which eventually leads to them trying more in the way of ladies underclothes with bras, girdles, tights or stockings with suspender belts and ultimately dressing fully with skirts and blouses to posh frocks.  To others it's just the sight of girlfriends or wife’s getting dressed, and the look of how clothes can transform how anyone looks and they decide to try it themselves.

To some men it's just an exploration of what is called a guys feminine side, and they don't make much attempt to look that feminine, to them it's just to wear and experience women's clothing.  Others who are more serious and often called transvestites really do make every effort to look and act the part with make-up and wigs etc.  Whichever way anyone looks at crossdressing and why or who might do it doesn't matter, there is nothing wrong or immoral in wearing clothes of the opposite sex.  There are those who just dress as women for pleasure and also those like myself who are transsexual and it's now part of everyday life and we no longer think of ourselves as men.

Men wearing ladies clothing is nothing new, in recent years it's become much more ‘socially acceptable' than it ever has been but crossdressing has been with us certainly since Shakespearian times back in the 1600's.  In those days women were forbidden to appear on-stage in plays etc: so men always had to portray female characters which meant wearing all the female attire needed; including stays and tight corsets to bring the waist right in.  It should be said that acting in those days wasn't the profession it's become today, and it really was the lowest of the low who became actors in those bygone days.

There is something to be said about women's clothes, it's usually far more sensual and better looking than men's clothing, plus many just like the feel of it - especially the silky and satin types.

Some who crossdress often combine it with other fetishes or role-play scenarios, but whatever your reason for wanting to either crossdress or try it for the first time - you're definitely not alone and you're no different to anyone else.  There is no harm in having an interest in women's clothing, so if you don't already crossdress and you want to try it - give it a go.
